ASTIGMATISM Section 5.1.4 - TABLE 1
This test looks for a condition of the lens in which there is a difference in refractive power due to curvature (flatspots).
What constitutes a failure?
Greater than or equal to .06 diopters difference.
astigmatism test
PRISMATIC POWER Section 5.1.4 - TABLE 2
A test that measures the angular deviation of a ray of light after passing through a lens (measured in diopters).
What constitutes a failure?
Greater than or equal to .5 diopters deviation.
prismatic power test
REFRACTIVE POWER Section 5.1.4 - FIGURE E5
A test that measures the ability of a lens to focus lightrays (measured in diopters).
