I spent two years, here and there, eating freeze dried meals in an attempt to find the most suitable power packed meals for backpacking. I was pretty settled on my menu... buying enough freeze dried meals to go from Campo California all the way to Kennedy Meadows. Then, during my hike, I got into Julian and stopped past 2 Foot Adventures, where I bought a random Trail Good Company chicken pasta meal. I did this more to just put money in the till of a great business run by even better people than guided by confident knowledge that the meal would please my tastebuds. Well, I ate the meal at the 91 mile water cache and I immediately knew that I regretted purchasing only one. In the summer, while deployed, I ordered 6 more to the house and an additional 6 to my vessel. At this point I can say, with a great deal of confidence, that this is my favorite freeze dried ANYTHING that I have eaten in the past 40 years.
