Granite Gear's Crown3 now has an add on option - the capability of reinforcing the frame sheet with a U-shaped aluminum stay for treks that require total pack weight north of 35lbs. This is a wonderful addition for PCT hikers heading into the Sierra on a snowy year. It's also a wonderful option for longer backpack trips or hikers carrying slightly heavy loads.
